YOSHKAR-OLA

Yoshkar-Ola is the capital of the Republic of Mari El, which is located in the middle Volga region.

The Spasskaya Tower
The Spasskaya Tower in Yoshkar-Ola is smaller than the Moscow One, and not all the details have been recreated, but the similarity with the Moscow original is great. This is another proof of the uniqueness of Yoshkar-Ola, because in a relatively small city it was possible to create attractions similar to those located in the capital.
Republican Puppet Theater
The Republican Puppet Theater is a real castle, where fairy-tale characters come to life in the hands of talented puppeteers. The performances are shown from September 1 to June 30, but you can admire the building for a whole year. Both children and adults will like it here.
The Museum of Fine Arts
The works of Finnish, Estonian, Hungarian and, of course, Russian masters are presented in the Yoshkar-Ola Museum of Fine Arts. There are paintings by modern authors and artists of the Soviet period. The museum pays great attention to the Mari authors. You can see their work at the Mari Color exhibition, one of the largest exhibitions of Mari art.
School number 5 "Ordinary miracle".
It's hard not to love studying when it takes place in a building that looks like a fairy-tale castle. A local businessman built the school to make his wife's dream come true — to be a teacher in such an institution. Today it is a complex, where there is a kindergarten and a school. The school has a gym and a swimming pool.
Tourists can take photos near the fabulous school and talk to friendly students.
